Meet the Munchies, Our Youngest & Mightiest Age Group at Robin Hood!
Our youngest campers are grouped in cabins in our Munchies unit. The Munchies experience at Camp Robin Hood is specially designed for our littlest campers—preschoolers ready to embark on their first full-day camp adventure! With a focus on fun, friendship, and new experiences, every day is packed with exciting activities, nurturing guidance, and plenty of opportunities to grow.
My son Hayden’s first session at camp was in July 2014. As a former CRHer I knew how much he would love camp, but as a parent I was anxious about how he would adjust to the routine of being a first-time camper. He had never even seen the inside of a school bus before his first day of camp.

Aside from her older brother, my daughter (Munchies) did not know anyone going to CRH this past summer. A Full Day of Adventure at Just The Right Pace!
Each day at camp is thoughtfully structured to provide a balance of high-energy fun and comforting routines in a safe and supportive environment. Here’s what a typical day looks like:
Exciting Specialty Activities – Archery, canoeing, dance, and more—each activity is carefully modified so our Munchies can participate with confidence and experience success! Whether they’re hitting the bullseye or paddling on our calm canoe pond, every accomplishment brings huge smiles.
Swimming Every Day! – A key part of our program is our twice-a-day swim instruction following the preschool portion of the Lifesaving Society’s Learn to Swim program developed in partnership with Shendy’s Swim School. Our swim staff are all qualified with both instructor and lifeguard certification, help our Munchie campers build confidence in the water in our four in-ground, heated swimming pools. Building Friendships & Teamwork – Camp is about more than just activities—it’s about connection! Munchies participate in cabin-based activities designed to promote teamwork, social development, and lasting friendships.
Play, Rest & Recharge – With two swim periods, snack and lunch breaks, and dedicated time for sunscreen re-application and playground fun, Munchies stay energized and happy throughout the day.
Sing-Songs & Camp Silliness – No day is complete without classic Camp Robin Hood traditions—from silly songs to themed days and unforgettable moments of laughter!
